Rita García Seoane, PhD
I am a marine scientist with broad interests in global change impacts on marine ecosystems, their ecology and conservation.
My current research at the Spanish Institute of Oceanography in A Coruña (IEO - CSIC) focuses on understanding the causes underlying changes in trophodynamics of pelagic consumers (plankton, planktivorous fish) using biochemical tracer techniques (stable isotopes and fatty acids). In the next months, I will be leading the project "PelCon: Disentangling processes controlling trophic connectivity between coastal and oceanic pelagic food webs" funded by the European Commission (MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship, 2024-2027).
